AI Game Merging Timeline: Releases and Reality
Viral crossover videos, source repositories and player releases do not have the same status. This timeline uses dated author release pages where available, so readers can locate a build and see what actually changed. It is a selected evidence timeline, not a claim about the first-ever mashup or the date a topic became popular. We do not infer player counts from social posts or search impressions.
| Date shown by original source | Event | What that date establishes |
|---|---|---|
| October 1, 2026 | SkyCraft 0.1.2 (opens in a new tab) | Creator release ZIP for Skyrim × Minecraft, with notes on explosion performance and a destruction switch. Its author calls the project early and experimental. |
| October 9, 2026 | ER Mario 0.4.2 (opens in a new tab) | Creator ZIP for Super Mario 64 movement in Elden Ring; release notes include first-install and update instructions. It is an early release, not an official game patch. |
| October 15, 2026 | HalfCraft 0.5.0 (opens in a new tab) | Latest stable author release at this check for Half-Life 2 with Minecraft mechanics. The player README distinguishes its release ZIP from source builds. |
| October 18, 2026 | HalfCraft 0.6.0 development pre-release (opens in a new tab) | A separate test build after stable 0.5.0; its presence does not mean every player should use it. |
Where Minecraft Ring fits
Minecraft Ring is a creator-listed Melty project with a Play route and a source repository (opens in a new tab). Melty's current listing names siddoff and describes the required Elden Ring and Minecraft versions. The listing does not give us a verified first publication date, so it is recorded here as a current documented project, not inserted into the dated event table by guesswork. Its Lands Between Remix (opens in a new tab) has a different named creator and should not be treated as siddoff's original release.
What changed technically?
The projects above solve different integration tasks. ER Mario imports character movement and combat behavior into one host game. SkyCraft and HalfCraft coordinate real Minecraft with another game's world and collision. Minecraft Ring uses its own Elden Ring/Minecraft bridge. Those implementations are more specific than the phrase “AI merged two games”; author documentation, code and release notes are needed to identify what was actually connected. The existence of AI coding tools does not establish AI authorship for every listed project.
How to read a new claim
Open the original author page. Find its date, exact game versions and an access route: video only, source build, release ZIP or creator-platform Play listing. Then check whether the author supplies controls, requirements and limitations. A platform listing shows a route, while a successful install on your own computer is a further check. Browse mashup Wikis for project-specific steps and installation safety before running files.
Sources checked October 20, 2026: SkyCraft releases (opens in a new tab), ER Mario releases (opens in a new tab), HalfCraft releases and player README (opens in a new tab), Minecraft Ring on Melty (opens in a new tab). This site has not independently run the builds. A new dated event belongs here when the author's source identifies both the date and what was actually published.
